Since January of 2004, ERC has helped 3,268 families in Shawnee County find child care. Communities represented in these calls include Topeka, Berryton, Tecumseh, Auburn, Silver Lake, and Rossville.

As one way of helping families, ERC maintains the listing of all regulated child care facilities in the county with information on hours, vacancies, and costs in addition to other useful information. Anyone needing child care can call ERC at 1-800-279-2ERC(2372) or 785-357-5171. Staff can provide assistance to anyone interested in learning more about the family child care career.
